Bucket Shop

A bucket shop is an illegal organization that accepts buy and sell orders from customers but does not execute them. Instead a bucket shop will wait until the market moves against a customer and then execute the order. The customer will be informed that the order was executed at the original price he or she set. In this way a bucket shop will attempt to profit when a customer takes a loss.
